Opportunities for Sustainable Economic Growth in Southern Libya: Insights from The PepsiCo Foundation, World Food Programme and USAID

AmCham Libya and the U.S. Embassy to Libya presented an online briefing on opportunities for sustainable economic growth in Southern Libya, including an important Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project being implemented by The PepsiCo Foundation and the World Food Programme (WFP). The project involves a hydroponic farm development which will increase access to sufficient food in a historically economically depressed area. Hydroponic farming allows for the efficient production of food which provides nutrition and livelihoods for the local community. Topics discussed included: current investments of Pepsi in Libya; The PepsiCo Foundation and its partnership in Libya; project details and its expected impact; USAID strategic vision for environment/climate/agricultural projects in Libya.
