AmCham Member Roundtable with Ambassador Norland
July 26, 2021
AmCham Libya hosted an in-person AmCham Member roundtable with Ambassador Norland during his visit to Tripoli.
The roundtable provided an opportunity for the Ambassador to hear directly from U.S. businesses active in Libya about their experiences and areas where the U.S. Government can provide support.
The event was honored by a surprise visit from Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dabaiba.
Ambassador Norland commented: ‘‘Today’s roundtable with AmCham Libya was an opportunity to understand how American companies can partner with Libyan firms and create additional economic opportunities for Libyans.’
“The American companies represented today employ thousands of Libyans in many sectors including energy, construction, and financial services.’’
He added ‘‘[I am] pleased that prime minister Dabaiba joined (the meeting) to meet American companies as well.’’
