U.S. Embassy Commercial Officer meets with AmCham Healthcare Working Group

On April 22, the U.S. Embassy Commercial and Economic Officer, David Morrison, met with the AmCham Libya Healthcare Working Group. AmCham Members represented included MSD, AbbVie, and Medtronic. Local company members included NTM Healthcare and Oyavet. David shared with the group the Embassy's current initiatives, and the members shared their experiences promoting U.S. healthcare products in Libya and gave suggestions as to how commercial activities can be supported.

On April 22, the U.S. Embassy Commercial and Economic Officer, David Morrison, met with the AmCham Libya Oil & Gas Working Group. AmCham Members who participated included Halliburton, SLB, Caterpillar, and Hill International. David shared with the group the embassy's current initiatives, and the members shared their perspectives on current challenges and opportunities being faced in the sector in Libya.

U.S. Chamber Enabling Ecosystems Roundtable

On April 18, the U.S. Chamber hosted an Enabling Ecosystems Roundtable at their Washington D.C. headquarters.  A group of African Ministers of Finance shared key opportunities and initiatives by their governments in the area of agricultural support, as well as the primary areas of need for private sector engagement. Corporate leaders shared their experiences in various regions of the continent, as well as initiatives that they hope to deliver or expand upon in Africa.
