Libya Power Sector Roundtable

AmCham Libya and the U.S. Embassy to Libya co-hosted the Libya Power Sector Roundtable. This online event brought together key decision makers from Libyan institutions, major U.S. companies active in the sector, the U.S. State Department and USAID, which is currently working on electricity sector reform in Libya.

Panelists included Joshua Harris, Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy to Libya, Weam Elabdeli, Chairman at GECOL, Dr. Abdussalam Elansari, Deputy Chairman at GECOL, Dr. Mohamed Elhadi Mashena, Advisor for Energy Affairs at GNA, Mamoun Saad, Country Manager for Libya at Bechtel, Raouf Ben Ltaifa, Deputy General Manager for Libya at Caterpillar, Mai Abdelhalim, CEO, North East Africa Region at GE, and Ed Elrahal, Electricity Sector Support Team Leader at USAID/LPFM.
