American Policy Towards Libya and Possible Impacts of the Upcoming U.S. Presidential Election

Jason Pack, AmCham Board Member and Libya Scholar, gave an online briefing on the subject of American policy towards Libya and possible impacts of the upcoming Presidential election.

It covered American engagement in Libya under the Trump administration and touched on arguments from his recent piece for Foreign Policy, “The Israel-UAE Deal Won’t Bring Peace, but It Will Prolong the War in Libya”.

Jason commented on how he sees the Libyan commercial scene evolving in 2021 for American companies in the electricity, oil & gas, construction, and related sectors if oil prices remain low or the blockade continues.

AmCham members were able to engage in a Q&A session at the conclusion of the presentation.
