AmCham Libya meets with NCDC prior to NCDC doctors leaving for U.S. CDC training program

AmCham Libya met with NCDC (National Center of Disease Control) to discuss their upcoming participation in the 2023 Public Health Emergency Management Fellowship (PHEM), which will be held at the U.S. CDC in Atlanta, Georgia from 28 August to 17 November. The PHEM fellowship aims to build public health emergency management capacity among members of the international public health community who work in preparedness and response. Participants will take public health emergency management courses and receive exposure to CDC’s Emergency Operations Center and key organizational units within the agency as well as participate in briefings and trainings and connect with CDC’s Emergency Management Technical Advisors.
