AmCham briefing on the Novick Cardiac Alliance’s 12 years of performing pediatric cardiac surgeries in Libya

AmCham Libya was pleased to host a briefing on the Novick Cardiac Alliance’s (NCA)12 years of performing pediatric cardiac surgeries in Libya. NCA, based in Memphis, Tennessee, has been performing pediatric cardiac surgeries in Libya since 2012. The team has made 37 trips to Libya, including Benghazi, Tobruk, Tripoli and Misrata. A total of 1,197 children have been treated, and there are 1500 on the waiting list. Dr. Novick talked about the life-saving work that had been done and their plan so that in 2 years many of these surgeries can be conducted without the support of NCA.
