A discussion with Joyce Bender, Advocate for Disability Employment

The U.S. Embassy to Libya and the American Chamber of Commerce in Libya (AmCham Libya) hosted an online discussion with Joyce Bender, an advocate for disability employment and an executive board member and secretary of the American Association of People with Disabilities.

Event Participants included:

• Joyce Bender, CEO, President and Founder of Bender Consulting Services, Inc.
• Richard B. Norland, U.S. Ambassador to Libya
• Debbie Hirst, Director of AmCham Libya

During the discussion, attendees learned about the value of employing workers with disabilities, heard expert advice about fostering inclusive workplaces, and had the opportunity to pose questions about applying lessons to the Libyan context.
