Reception for Libyan Ministerial Delegation – Washington D.C.

AmCham was delighted to host a reception in honor of H.E. Dr. Khalifa Abdulsadek, Libyan Minister of Oil and Gas and the accompanying governmental delegation during their visit to Washington, D.C. to attend the World Bank/IMF meetings. The reception was made possible due to the generous sponsorship of AmCham member Hill International as well as additional support from AVSCO and Cornerstone Valve.

Special guests included U.S. Special Envoy to Libya, Ambassador Richard Norland, as well as representatives from the State Department, Commerce Department and Department of Energy. Participating companies had the opportunity to introduce and present themselves to the visiting delegation, as well as have one-on-one meetings with Minister Abdulsadek. Senior level representatives from the Prime Minister’s office and the Ministry of Economy addressed the participants and gave updates on the current situation in Libya and the opportunities available for U.S. companies.
