AmCham Briefing on U.S. Drilling Equipment Purchase for Use in Libya

AmCham Libya was pleased to host a briefing from LIGOS, a Libyan oil services company that has recently purchased U.S. drilling rigs for use in Libya. The National Oil Company (NOC) has indicated an urgent need for drilling services which presents an opportunity for U.S. companies. This briefing offered valuable insights into this promising area for any company that is involved in the oil sector in Libya or follows developments in Libya’s economic development in general. Participants from LIGOS included Nadine Nasrat, General Manager and Ahmed Sultan, Drilling Department Manager. David Morrison, Economic and Commercial Officer from the U.S. Embassy to Libya provided comments as well.
