Briefing from H.E. Mohamed Hwej, Libyan Minister of Economy & Trade

On January 25, The American Chamber of Commerce in Libya (AmCham Libya) hosted an online briefing by H.E. Mohamed Hwej, Libyan Minister of Economy and Trade.
Minister Hwej spoke about the latest developments concerning the Ministry of Economy and provided his thoughts on the importance of private business initiatives in Libya. There was an introduction by Keith Kirkham, Regional Senior Commercial Officer with the U.S. Department of Commerce as well as brief remarks from Pedro Campo-Boue, U.S. Embassy Economic and Commercial Officer, and Guevera Yao, Executive Director of the U.S.-Africa Business Center at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Senior managers from a selection of AmCham members participated, including: Caterpillar, Coca-Cola, Halliburton, Hill Intl, Honeywell, Mitsubishi Power Aero (Pratt & Whitney Power Systems) and MSD (Merck).
