AmCham Libya meeting with United States House Foreign Affairs Committee (HFAC)

On April 3, AmCham Libya was pleased to organize a meeting for our members with the office of the ranking member of House Foreign Affairs Committee (HFAC) for Middle East and North Africa, Representative Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick of Florida. The purpose of the meeting was to allow the AmCham visitors to articulate areas where the US Government can support US companies active in Libya.  Introductory comments focused on the potential for US business interests in Libya and highlighting some of AmCham’s accomplishments in the last years. It is important that the U.S. Government hear from companies that are engaged in Libya to better understand the revenues involved and the reality on the ground. AmCham is pleased to be able to support its members in this way, and we intend to repeat these kinds of meetings on an annual basis.
