DESCRIPTION:AmCham Libya hosted an in-person AmCham Member roundtable with Ambassador Norland during his visit to Tripoli. \nThe roundtable provided an opportunity for the Ambassador to hear directly from U.S. businesses active in Libya about their experiences and areas where the U.S. Government can provide support. \nThe event was honored by a surprise visit from Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dabaiba. \n \nAmbassador Norland commented: ‘‘Today’s roundtable with AmCham Libya was an opportunity to understand how American companies can partner with Libyan firms and create additional economic opportunities for Libyans.’ \n“The American companies represented today employ thousands of Libyans in many sectors including energy\, construction\, and financial services.’’ \nHe added ‘‘[I am] pleased that prime minister Dabaiba joined (the meeting) to meet American companies as well.’’ \n \nThe picture (from left to right) shows: AmCham Libya Deputy Director\, Ahmed Al-Ghazali\, Ambassador Norland\, and AmCham Libya Director Debbie Hirst.\n
